SPECIAL EVENTS & MONTHLY CALENDAR
Greetings! First and foremost I want to thank all 4 families for the support I have received since my recent illness. I also want to thank the officers that have stepped up and filled the void that my illness created. My health is back on the upswing now.
I wish to continue our previous commander's motto of "One Legion, one Family".
One of my goals for my term is to move this legion toward being debt free. We have had very good luck with the gun raffles with the profits from those raffles being applied to the principle of our loans. The current raffle, however, is going a bit slow. The current plan is to run it through Elmer and Agnes and then draw. If you know people that might be interested, sign a sheet out. You can always turn unsold tickets back in. If you have an idea for a fund raiser let one of the officers know.
One last issue I would like to address is Legionnaire attendance at our monthly meetings. I spoke to a gentleman once who said he didn't attend because he didn't have a vote. If you are under that impression be assured that is not the case. YOU HAVE A VOICE! You can bring new business, ideas, participate in discussion and vote on any motion made!
